If you're into cycling you've probably heard of Strava, one of several smart phone apps that will track your rides and allow you to compare your performance with other Strava users over designated route "segments". Anyone can create segments and the best thing is it works just as well for sailing.
Here's a "speed course" segment from the Fairway mark to the Winner cardinal buoy. To get on the leaderboard you'll need to have Strava recording on your phone and will need to pass fairly close to the marks while steering a straight line from one to the other. When you've finished your sail, save the activity as a windsurf (there is no sailing category). Challengers welcome!
